e2studio does not see newly installed compiler …
I installed the GNURL78 compiler ( RL78 4.9.2.201902-GNURL78-ELF) but e2studion does not see it. I already went to the help menu / Add Renesas Toolchains, but no luck.
The solution for me was to rerun the e2 studio installer and select RL78 support (I only had RX support). After that when e2 studio started it detected the GNURL78 compiler.
It’s unfortunate that you can’t reproduce this problem because it makes your compiler unusable.
Hello,
Unfortunately, we are unable to reproduce the issue you mentioned.
After installing a new toolchain, when e2studio is restarted, there will be a pop-up that allows toolchain integration.
If not selected there, toolchain integration can also be done by going to Window → Preferences → Renesas → Renesas Toolchains → Add.
You should give a path similar to: “C: \ Program Files (x86) \ GCC for Renesas RL78 4.9.2.201902- GNURL78-ELF \ rl78-elf \ rl78-elf” there and then hit “Apply and Close”
Please let us know more details about your use-case scenario, if the suggestions above do not help you resolve the issue.
